Course Outline
Requirements
OSHA mandates that all managers be trained on their safety management and leadership responsibilities.
Required Courses: 9 (48 hours)
1. 700 Introduction to Safety Management - 6 hours
2. 701 Effective Safety Committee Operations - 6 hours
3. 702 Effective Accident Investigation - 6 hours
4. 712 Safety Supervision and Leadership - 6 hours
5. 716 Safety Management System Evaluation - 3 hours
6. 717 Emergency Action Plans - 4 hours
7. 718 Fire Prevention Plans - 6 hours
8. 719 Fleet Safety Management - 5 hours
9. 722 Ergonomics Program Management - 6 hours
Required Final Exam
The Authorized Trainer must administer a written multiple-choice exam using one of the following options:
1. Administer a 20-question exam after each individual course, or
2. Administer a 45-question exam after completing all required courses for the program
The AT should hold a post-exam discussion to review each question and answer after all students have completed their exam. Students must achieve a 70% score to pass the exam.
