36-hour Occupational Safety and Health Train-the-Trainer Program
Course Outline
Requirements
OSHA recommends that qualified safety trainers should complete a Train-the-Trainer program and have their training skills evaluated by a competent person. This program will also help you study for the accredited Certified Environmental Safety and Health Trainer (CET) credential. More information

Required Courses: 7 (36 hours)
1. 700 Introduction to Safety Management - 6 hours
2. 703 Introduction to OSH Training – 6 hours
3. 704 Hazard Analysis and Control - 5 hours
4. 706 Conducting a Job Hazard Analysis - 6 hours
5. 711 Introduction to Ergonomics - 4 hours
6. 721 OSH Training Development - 4 hours
7. 723 Conducting OSH Training - 5 hours
Required Final Exam
The AT must administer a written multiple-choice exam using one of the following options:
1. Administer a 20-question exam after each individual course, or
2. Administer a 35-question exam after completing all required courses for the program
The AT should hold a post-exam discussion to review each question and answer after all students have completed their exam. Students must achieve a 70% score to pass the exam.
