36-hour Occupational Safety and Health Supervisor Program
Course Outline
Requirements
Designed for safety officers and others in a non-manager position. Required Courses: 7 (36 hours)
1. 700 Introduction to Safety Management - 6 hours
2. 702 Effective Accident Investigation – 6 hours
3. 703 Introduction to OSH Training – 6 hours
4. 709 Personal Protective Equipment - 5 hours
5. 711 Introduction to Ergonomics - 4 hours
6. 712 Safety Supervision and Leadership – 6 hours
7. 716 Safety Management System Evaluation – 3 hours
Required Final Exam
The AT must administer a written multiple-choice exam using one of the following options:
1. Administer a 20-question exam after each individual course, or
2. Administer a 35-question exam after completing all required courses for the program
The AT should hold a post-exam discussion to review each question and answer after all students have completed their exam. Students must achieve a 70% score to pass the exam.
