155-hour Oil and Gas HS Specialist Program Requirements
Course Outline
This program will help students understand how safety supervisor responsibilities apply to the oil and gas field, where it is important for safety concepts and efforts to be targeted to onshore and offshore drilling. Emphasis is placed on gaining the knowledge and skills to assist in the establishment and management of a successful safety and health program.

7. 709 Personal Protective Equipment – 5 hours
8. 710 Energy Control Program - LOTO – 6 hours
9. 711 Introduction to Ergonomics – 4 hours
10. 713 Confined Space Program – 7 hours
11. 714 Fall Protection Program – 7 hours
12. 715 Electrical Safety for Technicians and Supervisors – 7 hours
13. 717 Emergency Action Plans – 4 hours

Required Final Exam
The AT must administer a written multiple-choice exam using one of the following options:
1. Administer a 20-question exam after each individual course, or
2. Administer a 130-question exam after completing all required courses for the program
The AT should hold a post-exam discussion to review each question and answer after all students
have completed their exam. Students must achieve a 70% score to pass the exam.
